The job fair experience at Trades and Professions, Inc. was indeed memorable and great. Together with the other applicants we were given an equal chance to showcase our knowledge and skills through standardized English examination, interview and demo lessons. The English exam was the most challenging part because I have to pass it before I can move to the next round which was the interview. It was a test of my stock vocabulary and a test of reading comprehension as well. Time element made it more challenging for I have to finish it within the allotted period. During the interview, I felt at ease because the interviewer was so cool and accommodating. I was not intimidated but rather I felt relaxed answering the questions just like in a usual conversation. I was given an ample time to share my experience particularly inside my classroom. I was then able to share the pedagogy I use with my SpEd learners. It was indeed a great learning experience when I had my demo teaching. At this phase my classroom management, technical know-how and other teaching related indicators were measured. For me, the demo teaching gave us an equal chance to showcase our talents and skills in dealing with students and learners with behavioral concerns. I was able to show to the panel how flexible I am in dealing with students from different grade levels by providing them differentiated activities. As a whole, Trades hiring process was definitely rigorous but fair.

Trades and Professions, Inc. has been providing us with a high degree of responsibility, commitment, and integrity. They are not only professionals in their work but also caring individuals. Their hands-on way of dealing with the applicants during the hiring process encourages me every step of the way, from the testing, interview, and demo lesson. They were always enthusiastic in giving pieces of advice as they express a genuine concern in my progress throughout my application. I can say that the overall feature of their service is excellent. I have confidence in the team and know that they always have the best for me and my career. Thank you very much for your help and guidance throughout my application process. I highly recommend Trades and Professions, Inc. to any colleagues thinking of working abroad.

I call it a ‘once-in-a-lifetime-chance’. The moment Mrs. Sasuman messaged me regarding the one-week hiring event with Chicago Public School in Manila, I knew it was an opportunity I shouldn’t miss. I set off to Manila with a baggage filled with instructional materials and pocketful of hope. The process was rigorous and challenging. I also like to view it as an empowering moment for each of the applicants as we were given a chance to show what we are capable of. Trades and Professions team was committed to aiding each of us through the process. Weeks before this event, we were given clear and detailed information and tips for our English exam, interview, and demo teaching. They oriented us about the possibilities we have to go through after this event. They valued our goals and boosted our confidence through their endless support. It was a week of growth and I am very grateful to Trades and Professions.

We learned about Trades and Professions, Inc. through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) at our City Hall here in Iloilo City last March 2018. And from that time on, we have been updated with our application. Last January 2019, we went to Manila for a one-week hiring event that included a Nelson-Denny Reading Test, a one-on-one interview and a live demonstration teaching, all conducted by the school officials of Chicago Public Schools. Thanks to Trades and Professions, Inc. for its partnership with CPS. In due time, we will be teaching in Chicago Public Schools, the 3rd largest school district in the USA. I am proud to be part of this amazing experience. Soar high, teachers!

If you are a dreamer and you aspire to realize your dreams, without a doubt Trades and Professions, Inc. can help you. Of course you have to go through a rigorous screening process which included initial interview, written tests, final interview and teaching demo which I have all undergone. I was initially overwhelmed because most of the other applicants are teachers who have already proven their teaching skills for a period of time longer than mine. My apprehension didn’t last long, thanks to staff of Trades who really did a great job making the atmosphere light, welcoming and motivating despite how rigorous the screening was. It is also notable how Trades offers equal opportunity for both veteran and young teachers. They don’t hire just because of how long the applicants have been in the service or just because the applicants are young and more teachable. More than that, they hire because of the applicants’ skills in teaching effectively and efficiently. I highly commend and recommend Trades for its excellent services.

The preparation process as an international teacher applicant taught me to have courage, faith and humility. Trades and Professions guided all of us to be ready and equipped with the skillsneeded to prepare for the test, interview and teaching demonstration. Taking the test was nerve-wracking for me at first, but the support givento us by Mr. And Mrs. Sasuman gave me the confidence to pass the exams. They had faith in us right from the start that we are all highly qualified teachers to work in the USA. The interview with the Chicago Public School district officials actualized my dream to work in the USA. The facts and information in the field of Special Education such as IEP writing, blended learning, inclusion and the likes were discussed in the interview. This made my heart skip a beat because finally I will have a chance to have a hands on experience as a Special Education teacher in the USA where IDEA- Individuals with Disabilities Education Act is a law that has to be implemented. The teaching demonstration was challenging since we were asked to prepare a 20-minute lesson plan for diverse type of learners from ages eight to 16 years old. The limited time for conducting a class was something new but this was just an affirmation that we should be ready for whatever tasks and challenges awaits for us in the inclusive classroom. Trades as a placement company changed my whole perspective of what an International Teacher application looks like. They don’t settle for mediocre types of teachers but they will help you become the best version of yourself. Thank you for this once in a life time experience.

Trades and Professions Inc. is a company that specializes in international teachers’ recruitment and I would definitely recommend their services to all my friends, family and colleagues! When I first sent my application, I doubted that I’d ever hear from them; I wondered if I was wasting time. The very opposite happened and since the day Mrs. Sasuman contacted me, my life changed. She is an attentive and persistent person who delivers personalized service to each applicant. She can make you feel comfortable with her up-front interpersonal skills. Trades and Professions Inc. guides you through the entire process of applying and securing a job in the USA. The process was rigorous and systematic. From my end, it looked easy, but I know that Trades has invested "due diligence" and tremendous effort for school officials to come to Manila. If for any reason I was uncertain about anything, I could email or message them and the consultants would assist almost instantaneously. They give clear, detailed information as regards the application process, you are never unsure as the process is clearly stated and explained thoroughly. Thank you Trades and Professions Inc. for the opportunity you gave me; with gratitude I would recommend your services to all my friends and colleagues.

After not working for a year, I have to start again with the process of finding a new job. As I was looking for vacancies for overseas jobs, I stumbled upon an ad about an opening for SpEd Teachers in United States. I then contacted TRades and PRofessions, Inc. and I was invited to the informational session. The team has been so accommodating and helpful. And all throughout the duration of their International Teachers’ Hiring event, you can see that they are very hands-on. I was amazed by how organized and professional they were including emails, texts and phone calls. trades was very prompt and consistent in updating us with regards to the schedules and things we needed to prepare for the event. I really appreciated their immense support and encouragement. Their small talks and encouraging words in between have helped us to ease the tension and nervousness we are feeling and become more relaxed. Aside from that, what truly impressed me is that they also made efforts to know us all, not only by recalling our names but also in recognizing our own concerns. They made me feel that I am not just another person on their books; their genuine concern to help me be hired for the job is very refreshing. Trades actually knows their candidates better than any other agencies I’ve come across. In addition, it is VERY rare to find an agency where its sole purpose is to look after the candidates and represent them rather than just chasing the big bucks! I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending you to my friends and colleagues. Thank you to the whole team at TRades and PRofessions, Inc. for your kind support, professionalism and kindness at all times! It was a great pleasure and privilege to deal with you.

It was March last year when I found out about Trades and Professions and decided to apply, with dreams of working abroad. To be honest, I was hesitant at first, but things changed when Trades and Professions really helped me with everything I needed. They made sure that I did not have a hard time and tried to make things as hassle-free as possible. Their tests all ran smoothly, with the help of Chicago Public School (CPS) officials, Ms. Toni and Ms. Christine. They were able to explain the directions well so we were able to understand everything, thus, resulting in high scores.nThere were several interviews during the whole process. The interviewers were not intimidating at all and were very welcoming. They made us feel very comfortable in answering their questions and were very considerate. My demo lesson lasted for 20 minutes. They were all very professional as they just watched me quietly, careful not to disturb me. They gave me tips beforehand to make sure that I get to maximize my time. All of them were very helpful and supportive. I would surely recommend Trades and Professions to my friends and relatives.

Trades and the team are very systematic, transparent, and goal directed. Their vision is to bring talented professionals abroad and give them the opportunity to share their knowledge and expertise to clients (i.e. students, patients). I saw a part of that vision being realized during the hiring event in Manila last January 2019. I am one of the participants who joined the hiring event. The process was very straightforward. There were no delays and unnecessary things. When I emailed my documents, I was immediately scheduled for a telecon with the CEO, Mrs. Sasuman. Upon passing the initial interview, all relevant details about the upcoming hiring event were sent to me. Information regarding the whole hiring process was disclosed and discussed in detail. They made sure that the applicants are well aware, and educated about the whole process. We were given a schedule for the week-long event to help us prepare beforehand. They held review sessions, and shared tips for the interviews and demo lessons. During the event, the team was hands on and very quick on their toes. They guided us all throughout. Because of how they work with their participants, we breezed through the hiring event prepared and confident.

The owners of Trades are straightforward and know what they want from their teachers. The team is accommodating and always ready to answer queries regarding the application process. The testing had fair difficulty level but the time allotment posed high pressure toward the test takers. It prompted me to read fast and carefully, as well as to think quickly. The test was different from previous tests I’ve taken, especially the vocabulary part because I need to be familiar with the meanings and the synonyms. The interview isn’t nerve racking like I thought it would be. The initial interview with the company’s CEO helped a lot since it guided me on what to say during interview process with the Chicago Public Schools officials. The day before the interviews, CPS officials prepared the teacher applicants by asking them to think of three things that we wanted to let them know. This has helped me organize my thoughts. Demonstration teaching was exciting. I was given a day to finalize my lesson and calm my nerves. The settings was multi-grade which tested my flexibility as a teacher since the lesson I prepared was intended for grade 1 but the students were grades 3, 4, 6, 7,8 and 10. It was also like a regular class with one hyper student who tested my patience and classroom management skills. There were no pre or post observation conference between the observers and the demonstrators. The observers just observed and took down copious notes on how the demonstrator delivered his/her lesson and how he/she managed the class. Well, good teaching can be seen in the first ten minutes of class.

The first day was extremely nerve-wracking. We were tasked to take the English Proficiency Test and pass it so we can proceed to the next part of the recruitment. Now, seeing how tenured the other applicants were made me feel even more restless. Yet the Lord, in His all-surpassing peace, gave me the strength tobelieve that everything is in His hands. And so it did! The exam went perfectly well. There were a few items which I did not feel confident answering in the vocabulary part, however when I got back to the transient house and checked, it turned out that my answers were correct. The next day, I accompanied my friend for her morning schedule of interview. We felt butterflies inside us, thankfully, Mr. and Mrs. Sasuman were around to give every applicant an advice and words of encouragement for the upcoming task. The butterflies inside me eventually subsided when I got inside and talked to Ms. Toni, one of the school officials. She was very amiable and nice to talk to. All the nervousness was flushed out after that interview. Finally, the demo lesson came at hand. My friend and I prayed and confidently did our demo lessons. The students acted as they normally would; some are behaved some are not. The staff of Trades were very much helpful and accommodating enough to make us feel well about our undertaking. They were even offering food in case I had not eaten yet just to make sure I'm good to go for the demo lesson. In the end, the students cooperated very well and were very much attentive to my directions. Although the high school students were quite shy about singing and dancing the verb song, still they managed to do it and with that I am very thankful. All in all, I can say that the recruitment experience was efficiently done. They made sure that teachers from the provinces had their demo lessons first so they can get to their respective provinces earlier. This was good so teachers can still have respite before going back to their job the following week. Plus, everyone in Trades and Professions were approachable and warm towards all of us. I thank you for all the encouragement and help I received upon doing each task. May God bless you abundantly.
